Day 25: Rest. June 22, 2007

Friday. No running today. It kills me not to run. I really want to. Especially since I weighed in at 175.5lbs today. But I am reading about my body’s need for rest, and how it helps to produce better, stronger runners who are less likely to experience injury. I am eating well, and have mapped out a new route. Tomorrow I will tackle just over 2 miles. I have no expectation of running this distance without walk breaks, but running 2 miles is my next personal goal. I may switch to a program that times runs during the week without worrying about the miles and then measures long runs on the weekend.
