Vacation August 5, 2007

Posted by Joe in personal.

Tomorrow I’m taking the fam’ to a cabin in the Ozarks for a week long vacation. In fact this is the same, small, 6 cabin resort my parents took me to when I was a kid. I have fantastic memories of this place. These cabins have no phones, no internet, no cable/sat. It’s just swimming, fishing, playing outside, reading, a little sight seeing and definitely – running. So, I’ll keep track of everything in my Moleskine and update the blog when I can – probably when we get back home.

Of course we’ll be traveling in our brand new Wagon Queen Family Truckster. What more appropriate vehicle is there in which a family of four can leave the Chicago suburbs for a vacation?

The National Lampoon theme song instantly went through my head when I read this post. Enjoy vacation and survive the drive!

Yeah, I can’t think about a family vacation without hearing that song or imagine that awful “Family Truckster” Clark comes home with. We will be playing Holiday Road” from that move periodically in the car while we drive. 🙂 Thanks guys. We’re off!
