Slip-Proof Headphones November 18, 2007

headphones_smpng.jpgI go back and forth between running with and without my iPod. When I do the sweat and movement often jogs the earbuds loose. Annoying. Lifehacker (a great site) points out some slip-proof headphones via Michael Hyatt. They’re pricey, but look like a good option. Anyone use these? Something similar? Better?

Terrific blog!!! I enjoyed your blog and do look at it on a daily basis. As for me, I don’t use iPod. I am Deaf. Truthfully, silence is golden. I don’t have to worry about blaring horns or screaming kids sticking their neck out of the window. Heh !!! Keep rocking with your blog!

Thank Joel!

I use something similar to those, but it doesn’t wrap around my neck…they just kind of hang off of my ear. They have been the best for me so far. They don’t fall out from sweat and they are pretty loud.

I use the ear phone buds that look sort of like ear plugs. I find that they don’t slip out nearly as much. I do, however, get extremely annoyed with the cord flopping around. I haven’t figured out how to tuck it away where I’m satisfied. Plus, I find that most of my ear bud slippage is due to the swinging cord anyway! What do you do with the cord, man? I basically stick it through my shirt sleeve or under the velcro thing that holds my iPod in place.

I use the iPod shuffle with the clip. It clips to my shorts/pants, I run the cord under my shirt through the neck to my ears.

I use Sony headphones that wrap around your ear…I had problems with the iPod earplugs too, they would hurt my ears or fall out.

The Sony ones are fairly cheap and have lasted me a long time!
